Discuss an opportunity.

Inquiries are reviewed by the firm directly. If you are bringing a business, the fastest useful message says what it does, roughly what it earns, and why it is available.

Send an inquiry

For an acquisition opportunity: sector, approximate revenue and EBITDA, and the reason for the sale.

Inquiries are read by the firm, not by an inbox filter, and are treated as confidential. Pinnacle does not share submitted information outside the firm and its advisers. Do not send non-public information until a confidentiality agreement is in place.

Routes

Five ways in, so nobody has to guess.

Five routes, because these are the five things people actually write in about, and an owner with a business to sell should not land in the same queue as a candidate.

Acquisition opportunity

A business for sale, a carve-out, or a sponsor-held asset. Owners, intermediaries, investment bankers, and corporate development teams.

Partnership

Co-investment, a joint approach to a transaction, or a commercial relationship with the platform.

Portfolio company inquiry

A question about one of the nine operating companies, or a commercial matter with one of them.

Careers

Roles at the firm or operating leadership within a portfolio company.

General inquiry

Anything that does not fit the four above.

Before you write

What makes an acquisition inquiry easy to act on.

None of this is required. It is simply what lets the firm give a straight answer quickly rather than after three rounds of email.

  • What the business does, and who its customers are.
  • Approximate revenue and EBITDA, and the trend in both.
  • Whether revenue is recurring, contracted, or project-based.
  • The reason the business is available now.
  • Whether management intends to stay.
  • For a carve-out: what is shared with the parent today.
  • Any process already running, and its timetable.
  • What has gone wrong, if something has. It is not a disqualifier.
